Terms of Service
Welcome to Dossier East. By accessing our website or purchasing or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the website or services.
1. Who We Are
Dossier East provides China-focused supplier due diligence reports, related analysis, and informational services for business clients.
2. Services
Our reports are prepared using publicly available records, official sources where accessible, professional analysis, and information you provide. Deliverables, scope, and timelines are as agreed in writing (including email or order confirmation) for each engagement.
We may decline or suspend a request if the scope is unclear, the subject cannot be reasonably identified, or the request appears unlawful or improper.
3. No Professional Advice
All reports, analyses, summaries, verdicts, and communications are for general business information only. They do not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, accounting, or other regulated professional advice.
You remain solely responsible for any decision to proceed, pause, or stop a commercial relationship, payment, or transaction.
4. Nature of Reports
Reports reflect information available to us at the time of preparation. Public records may be incomplete, delayed, or inconsistent. We do not guarantee that every relevant fact exists in accessible sources, or that sources are error-free.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, our work does not include: on-site inspection, covert investigation, guaranteed recovery of assets, or certification of a supplier by any government authority.
5. Your Obligations
Provide accurate and complete information needed for the engagement
Use the website and reports only for lawful internal business purposes
Not sell, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit our reports without our prior written consent
Not reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the website or our materials
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of our reports complies with laws applicable to you.
6. Fees and Payment
Fees are as quoted or agreed in writing before work begins. Unless otherwise stated, reports are delivered after required payment is received.
Fees are non-refundable once work has commenced, except where required by applicable law or where we agree otherwise in writing. If we cancel an engagement before substantial work begins, we may refund fees paid for that engagement, less any non-recoverable costs.
7. Delivery and Revisions
Delivery method and timing will be communicated for each order. Limited clarifications on the completed report may be available as specified in the engagement terms. Material expansion of scope may require a new fee agreement.
8. Intellectual Property
The website, its design, text, branding, and all reports we produce remain the intellectual property of Dossier East.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use a purchased report for your internal business decision-making only. You may not use our name or reports to imply endorsement of any supplier or transaction.
9. Confidentiality
We will treat non-public information you provide as confidential and use it only to deliver the service, except where disclosure is required by law or you permit otherwise.
You agree to keep our report content confidential and limit internal distribution to those who need it for the relevant decision.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dossier East is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the website, services, or reports.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of any report or service will not exceed the fees you paid for that specific report or service.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Dossier East harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the reports, your breach of these Terms, or your commercial decisions based on our materials, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
